Our brewery - restaurant has won the silver medal ( it's the highest award awarded in Franconia)
In the "Bavarian Cuisine 2010" competition.

 

What would the typical franconian beer be without the hearty and zesty dishes. In our restaurant Hufeisen you will find delicious meals to make you feel whole again. From the typical franconian Sauerbraten to the Brewer's feast, you will find everything, even if you are vegetarian, you will like our fish specialties from the Puettlach near by (backwater that goes through Franconia). We got your kids covered, too.


Our menu

Spent Grain Bread savory filled and fresh out of the oven (homemade salami, tomato pesto, corn, beans, onions, smoked limburg cheese) on leaf salad with raspberry dressing

"Devil's bread" - hot spiced pork and beef slices with red beans, peppers and cheese on crunchy garlic bread

"Brewer's feast" sliced pork, beef and chicken, served in spicy chili sauce with hash browns and a small salad

Franconian Sauerbraten (sour pot roast) - with homemade spent grain napkin dumplings, cranberries and vanilla - red cabbage

"Krenfleisch" - brisket in horseradish sauce, cranberries and potatoes

Served in the ...brewer's pan - tender chicken breast filet filled with mozzarella cheese and tomato pesto on vegetable spaetzle with fried onions and herb butter

"Coachman Schnitzel" - pork cutlet stuffed with salami, smoked Frankendamer cheese and onions (baked in malt grist), served with French fries and mixed salad

On weekends we serve

Franconian Krustenschaeuferle (pig's shoulder meat) or roast with Sauerkraut on dark beer with dumpling

Snacks

Smoked Limburger cheese garnished with onions and bread

"Camembert Mountain" (Tartar cheese) - mixed with beer schnapps and onions, comes with wood oven baked bread

"Bratwurst plate" - different varieties of bratwurst (wild garlic, beer schnapps, dark beer) served with Sauerkraut and bread

Franconian Snack Plate - comes with head cheese white, red, raw ham, cold cuts, meatloaf, Swiss cheese, Limburg cheese, bread and a shot of beer schnapps

On brew days our special grain bread is baked!

 

Every Wednesday: different variations of fresh, homemade Tarte

From May to June 24th delicious asparagus dishes

In July we will spoil you with fresh mushroom dishes from the region
